You can apply for a visitor visa for a period of a maximum of nine (9) months.
With your visa, you are allowed to travel within New Zealand to see and visit the picturesque destinations the country has to offer. When applying for a visitor visa, it is important to establish that you are a genuine visitor.
Visiting Family
Immigration New Zealand acknowledges that your parents may want to visit you and stay for an extended period of time.
New Zealand residents or citizens are eligible to sponsor a nine (9) month visa for their parents. Alternatively, they can also sponsor their parents for a visitor visa, where their parents can stay for a maximum of 6 months each stay for a total of 18 months within a three (3) year period.
